Call for opens and patent disclosures: - No one declared a patent. AR Review: - Mike ask Randy why they use AC for Vinl/Vinh - Done, no reply yet - Mike send changed 5.2.1 to Randy for feedback - Done, no reply yet - Mike change web site to avoid using frames - Done - Mike showed the web pages - Minutes are now listed like the archive files New items: We reviewed the IQ checks to find candidates for new IBISCHK bugs: 3.1.1. {LEVEL 2} [Package] must have typ/min/max values - Moshiul: It could be compared to the range of pin RLC - Anders: Not 100% of the pins have to fall in this range - Mike: The max L and max C may not be the same pin - We decided to file no IBISCHK bug for this 3.1.2. {LEVEL 2} [Package] parasitics must be reasonable - Eckhard: Old files would start to have errors - We decided to file no IBISCHK bug for this 3.2.1. {LEVEL 2} [Pin] section complete - Mike: We could have a warning if there are no POWER or GND pins - Lance: A warning would be OK for this - Anders: That raises the question of requiring RLC for POWER and GND pins - Eckhard: - Anders: We could require it if [Pin Mapping] is present - Moshiul: The number of pins - Anders: We would need [Pin Mapping] 3.2.2. {LEVEL 3} [Pin] RLC parasitics are present and reasonable - Eckhard: We found pins around 120 ohms - Moshiul: A consistency check across the pins might be better - Mike: Should we change this check? - We probably need data - We decided to file no IBISCHK bug for this 3.3.1. {LEVEL 2} [Diff Pin] referenced pin models matched - Anders: Bob wanted this check - Mike: This calls for inserting a comment under some conditions - IBISCHK would not read those comments to suppress a warning - We decided to file no IBISCHK bug for this 3.3.2. {LEVEL 3} [Diff Pin] Vdiff and Tdelay_* complete and reasonable - Mike: Not sure if IBISCHK has a check for negative Vdiff - Lance: IBISCHK warned about NA Tdelay* - Mike: That seems doubtful - Anders: What should be done if it is negative? - Moshiul ran some IBISCHK tests during the call: - There is no IBISCHK warning for output Tdelay = NA - There is no IBISCHK warning for negative Tdelay - Moshiul: Datasheets usually have this info with pkg parasitics included - So the datasheet values may not be useful for IBIS purposes - Lance: We could have a check for min < typ < max - Moshiul: IBISCHK will warn for this - Anders: This is not a reasonable requirement - Eckhard: The IBIS spec example has -2ns the for the max corner AR: Lance try to find IBIS files with [Diff Pin] Tdelay out of order We agreed that reviewing items by committee is tedious, and we should not undertake yet another linear review of the IQ spec. Members will review on their own and IBISCHK bugs will be filed as ideas are found. AR: All review the IQ spec for possible new IBISCHK checks Meeting ended at 12:11 PM Eastern Time.
